This is the second home in a series of three that

This is the second home in a series of three that we were commissioned to design in Austin. As the middle home, it presented a unique challenge: how to maintain privacy while being flanked on both sides. Our solution was to rotate the building 45 degrees on the site, which creates a sense of separation and carves out private alcoves on all sides.

Another design parameter was to echo the material palette of the first home while giving this one its own identity. We used local materials in a new way and introduced sculptural canopies that bring shade, rhythm, and distinction to the form.

We’re finalizing design and moving into the next phase, excited to keep sharing the journey.

Here it is! Our very first project entering constr

Here it is! Our very first project entering construction.

This 2,300 square foot lobby renovation focused on connecting the interior to the exterior. A high-volume entry space features an undulating ceiling that leads visitors toward the elevator lobby. The ceiling creates a sense of movement and contrasts with the crisp white walls. A green vinyl element was added in the double-height space to bring in color and tie into the ceiling form. This feature continues outside to mark the entrance and create a more welcoming, visible entry.

We’ve been busy! We are wrapping up a Lobby renovation in downtown Austin. The sketch shows an undulating form in the ceiling made of blackened steel. Its purpose is to volumetrically connect the outdoor entry to the elevator lobby. Additionally, the foyer of this building has 23’+ ceilings and we want to accentuate that high volume with a vertical mural. The palette for this project uses dark textured material contrasted by the large format tiled floor and white walls. Stay tuned as we transition into construction.

Part 1: Our latest designs: a 4,600 sq. ft. generational home.

The tall volume creates an airy, light-filled space for the living, kitchen, and dining areas, while the private bedrooms and offices are tucked away in the lower structure. Thoughtful design details like the extended thin roof on the shorter wing provide natural shading, keeping the southern sun at bay during the hot summer months.
